Peuple Loup

Peuple Loup is an association dedicated to informing the public about wolves in their natural environment through observation, education, and shared experience. Based in the Vercors massif since late 2013, the group has sought to observe a wolf pack in the area, following earlier projects in Canada named Duncan and Corvette. Its members share firsthand accounts of time spent in the field, highlighting the wolf’s mobility, discretion, and natural wariness of people, while challenging misconceptions shaped by stories and stereotypes.

The association offers environmental education activities and visits schools to discuss wolves with students and help present them as part of the natural world. Its website also features reports from expeditions, wildlife and landscape photography, and videos offering glimpses of life in bivouac. Photographs are made available under the Art Libre licence or, in the Flickr gallery, under CC BY-SA. Readers can follow further accounts through the association’s blog and social media. Peuple Loup’s work is guided by the principles of respecting wildlife, observing nature, and sharing knowledge and experiences.
