Pferde-Erleben

Pferde-Erleben GmbH is a people-and-horse-centred organisation in Rheinau, in the Zürcher Weinland region of Switzerland, near Schaffhausen and the German border. A business of Stiftung Fintan, it operates from Gut Rheinau, where former cattle barns have been converted into an open stable with ample room for horses to move about. The horses are cared for with support from people receiving guidance at the site and from apprentices, and are trained by the organisation.

Pferde-Erleben offers horse-assisted interventions, including equine therapy, for children, young people and adults. Its services also include riding lessons, with instruction based on the École de Légèreté approach, as well as vocational integration measures, supported employment and additional work opportunities. The team brings together staff from different professional backgrounds, combining their experience to support participants in personal development, learning and work processes. Through interaction with the horses, participants can take part in meaningful and educational experiences. The organisation’s work connects therapeutic and educational activities with practical workplace participation in a supportive rural setting.
