Verein Pferdeoase is an Austrian nonprofit association in Ebendorf dedicated to natural care and respectful interaction with horses and other equines. The organization values herd life and treats animals as partners and friends, combining their wellbeing with thoughtful, purposeful work. Around 80% of its animals have been rescued from poor conditions, often with physical or emotional challenges. At Pferdeoase, they are supported in rebuilding trust and adapting to new roles, with training based on “Synergie,” described as an extended form of horsemanship.
The association invites people to connect with its animals through membership and care arrangements, including opportunities to spend time with a personal Pflegepferd or Pflegepony. It offers equine-assisted educational activities, play and training sessions, trainer-week bookings, and opportunities for junior trainers. Visitors can also enjoy donkey trekking through the Weinviertel. Supporters may sponsor the animals through several flexible models, starting at €5, with payments by SEPA direct debit that can be cancelled at any time.
