Pferdepraxis Equimedicus

Pferdepraxis Equimedicus is an ambulatory veterinary practice dedicated to horses, serving northern Aargau, the Zurich Unterland, Klettgau, Schaffhausen and much of the Waldshut district in Germany. Led by veterinarian Claudia Rutz, the practice provides comprehensive equine medicine at the horse’s home stable, with a calm, considerate approach to young, nervous and difficult horses. Owners receive personal guidance on treatment options and answers to their questions.

The practice’s services include equine dentistry, internal medicine, orthopaedics, surgery and eye care, as well as routine vaccinations, microchipping and parasite management using selective deworming. Dental care includes correcting abnormalities and treating or removing affected teeth. Veterinary support is also available for older horses, pre-purchase examinations, insurance assessments and emergencies such as injuries, colic, choke and birth complications. The practice offers blood testing through external laboratories and can measure serum amyloid A at the stable. It also provides tournament veterinary services. Equimedicus emphasizes individual, functional care and careful handling, treating each horse with the attention it would give its own.
