Pferdetherapie Nordheide

Pferdetherapie Nordheide is the equine therapy practice of Kerstin Totterer, based in Hanstedt. Totterer is a Welter-Böller-trained osteopathic equine therapist and a certified equine physiotherapy practitioner through DIPO. The practice offers a range of treatments tailored to each horse, including osteopathy, pulsating magnetic field therapy, acupuncture and laser acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, Organetik, dry needling, and training therapy.

Its approach is guided by the principle “as little as possible, as much as necessary.” Treatments are adapted to the individual animal and proceed at a pace the horse accepts, beginning with gentle, unobtrusive techniques. Rather than relying on forceful manipulations, the work emphasizes mobilising and releasing surrounding structures to support lasting results. Kerstin Totterer views therapy as a collaborative process involving the horse and its owner, with veterinarians and other equine professionals included when appropriate. The practice notes that longstanding problems may require more than one session. Horse owners can contact Kerstin Totterer to ask questions or arrange an appointment, and can also find educational videos and podcast content through the practice’s online channels.
