ThermologicVision® Fachzentrum für Pferdethermographie, led by Karina Ahrens, provides thermographic assessments for horses from its base in Worpswede, Germany. The practice presents thermography as a holistic tool that can help investigate unclear lameness and identify areas of concern beyond the location where symptoms appear. Its services include lameness diagnostics, performance and training optimization, saddle-fit assessments, preventive checks, and monitoring of treatment progress.

Assessments of saddle fit can be carried out with the horse standing or moving, offering an independent, documented view of fit and effects on the horse’s back. Thermography may also help identify load-related issues, support balanced training, and indicate whether recovery is progressing before a return to work. The practice serves clients and horses within approximately 200 kilometres of Worpswede and states that tours across Germany are planned from late 2024.
