Pošumavská Golf League (PGL) is a non-commercial golf community that brings friends together for regular tournaments and year-round competition. Run by golf enthusiasts, the league welcomes players who enjoy both the sporting challenge and the social side of the game. Membership registration is free, with modest fees for those who choose to play in tournaments.
PGL organizes around 25 events each year, mainly in western and southern Czechia, with some tournaments in Germany and Austria. Its schedule also includes occasional trips to courses elsewhere, such as Moravia and Italy. Events take place at a variety of courses and use different playing formats; members may also organize tournaments. Traditional events include Dragon Press Open, Máme hole v ruce, the final tournament, and the match-play competition.
The league maintains an annual points ranking for men and women, with winners honored on a traveling trophy. It also recognizes the most improved player, newcomer, and family of the year, while members vote for an All-Star Flight.
