The SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George’s County, Inc. (PGSPCA) is a nonprofit organization focusing on animal welfare, entirely run by volunteers. Our main objectives include reducing pet overpopulation through a spay/neuter program, preventing animal cruelty through investigations, legal action, vaccinations, and an adoption program, as well as promoting animal-friendly public policies through humane education.
We do not operate the county shelter but work closely with local veterinary partners to achieve our goals. Our services include low-cost vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and rehoming animals rescued from the county shelter. We are funded by contributions, grants, and various fundraising activities.
As a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity, we do not receive state or county funds. Get involved by volunteering, fostering, donating, or adopting from our organization to support our mission of improving animal welfare in Prince George’s County
