Phainarete

Phainarete is the midwifery and family-support practice of Sarah Schmelzer, based in Düsseldorf-Flingern. A midwife and trained Embodimentor:in®, Sarah offers trauma-sensitive, individual support for women and families during pregnancy, the postnatal period and the transition to parenthood. Her approach combines professional knowledge with attentive, body-centred care, while placing each person’s needs, autonomy and informed choices at the heart of the experience.

Services include midwifery care, pregnancy check-ups and support during the postnatal period, as well as birth-preparation courses designed to build physical and emotional readiness through breathing, bodywork and a focus on self-determination. Phainarete also provides embodiment coaching, gentle yoga to support movement and breathing during pregnancy, and relaxing massages intended to ease tension and prepare the pelvis for birth. Care is available through health-insurance coverage or as a self-funded service, depending on the offering.
