Pleasant Heights After School

Pleasant Heights After School (PHAS) is a Calgary childcare provider with a long history of supporting families in the city’s northwest. Established in 1976, it began by caring for 30 elementary school children in the Mount Pleasant community and has grown to serve more than 200 children from kindergarten through Grade 6. PHAS operates at King George School, St. Joseph School, and Panorama Hills School, offering care Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The organization provides before- and after-school care, kindergarten and junior programs, and a summer program. Its programs are designed around fun, education, personal development, and leadership, with age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities that encourage children’s growth and socialization. Qualified, enthusiastic staff work with families to create a safe, caring, inclusive environment where children can play, learn, and build relationships. Guided by its Circle of Care approach, PHAS emphasizes support from families and caregivers within a diverse, community-based setting.
