Our PhD in Sustainable Development and Climate Change is an innovative and multidisciplinary program that aims to create a sustainable society in all its aspects. With six different curricula, our courses and studies cover various topics including cultural, social, economic, legal, technological, and more. We believe that to make our planet a better place, we need to change our society, which is why our program focuses on the skills and knowledge of professors from different fields of study.

Each curriculum within our PhD program has its own unique focus. The Earth System and Environment curriculum delves into the biological, chemical, geological, and physical aspects of climate change. The Socio-economic risk and impacts curriculum analyzes the complex relationship between climate change and the socio-economic system.

The Technology and Territory curriculum explores sustainable development paradigms and actions against climate change. The Theories, Institutions, and Cultures curriculum focuses on the theories, institutions, and cultures of sustainability and climate change. The Agriculture and Forestry curriculum concentrates on sustainable agri-food and forestry systems.

Lastly, the Health and Ecosystems curriculum examines the impacts of climate change on ecosystems and human health. Our PhD program follows a three-level educational program: multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary. We offer various events and workshops to expose PhD candidates to the complexities of sustainability and climate change and to help them develop their research projects.
