Phil’in Grimp is a volunteer-run climbing club in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu, France, affiliated with the French Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing (FFME). Founded in 2015 when the Grenais sports complex opened, the club welcomes children, young people, families and adults to climb at Salle Pékin. Its indoor climbing wall is 25 metres wide and 9 metres high, with 72 routes graded from 3 to 7b and around 2,500 holds.
The club offers coached weekly sessions for young climbers, from introductory skills and safe belaying to technical development and lead climbing. Adults can join open climbing sessions, with safety training available for beginners. Families may also attend a free-climbing session where a licensed adult belays the young climber. Sessions run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays during the 2026–2027 season.
Phil’in Grimp’s team includes a qualified coach, volunteer climbing instructors, route setters and equipment managers. The club provides registration through HelloAsso and welcomes donations and business partnerships to help renew its holds and equipment.
