Established in 2004 by the Chung brothers, the Philomathia Foundation is a private charitable organization registered in Canada and Hong Kong. It supports innovative ideas and individuals through philanthropic partnerships with leading research universities, including the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Cambridge, McMaster University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The Foundation provides seed funding, undergraduate and graduate scholarships, and graduate and postdoctoral research fellowships. Its programs encourage forward-thinking work across science, technology, the humanities, and philosophy, helping advance education and knowledge generation.
