About PhilPapers
PhilPeople is an online directory and social network designed for philosophers, offering tools to connect with colleagues and follow developments across the philosophical profession. With more than 306,000 profiles, it helps users find philosophers and departments by research topic, publications, region, and other criteria. Members can create customizable profiles that bring together publication lists, talks, and career events, drawing information from PhilPapers, PhilEvents, and PhilJobs.
The platform’s News Feed lets users follow peers’ publications, talks, blog posts, status updates, and professional moves. Philosopher Radar helps members see which philosophers are nearby, share their own trips, and discover potential event invitations. Users can also share their work and ideas, discuss draft papers through shared comments, add a follow button to their websites, and embed publication lists with a PhilPeople widget. Web analytics provide insight into traffic across Phil* sites.
Creating a profile is free. PhilPeople is sponsored by the PhilPapers Foundation and the American Philosophical Association, and is supported by the PhilPapers Foundation and the Centre for Digital Philosophy.
