About PIBID
Presidential Initiative On Banana Industrial Development (PIBID) is dedicated to enhancing Uganda’s agricultural sector by providing accessibility to tested technologies and improved rural infrastructure for the production and processing of banana products. PIBID offers a range of services, including industrial technology, business and marketing, value addition, and quality control, as well as production, research, and training. Among their innovative products are Raw Tooke Flour, which is light and fluffy, and Instant Tooke Flour, pre-cooked and easy to blend with protein-rich foods.
Both flours are designed to impart a natural flavor taste and provide a quick energy release. PIBID also provides recipe manuals and facts about matooke, supporting their commitment to showcasing the versatility of banana products. Furthermore, PIBID engages in various projects and operates project units in addition to advocating for research and development.
This initiative represents a pivotal step in promoting sustainable agricultural development in Uganda
