el Picadero Herranz

Picadero Herranz is a small, family-run equestrian centre based in La Granja, Segovia, near Madrid. Founded by Paco and Pilar, the business grew from their shared passion for horses into a way of life centred on horse care, riding and enjoying the outdoors. The centre welcomes visitors and horse owners with a range of equestrian services and activities.

Guests can book guided horseback rides through the Sierra de Guadarrama and surrounding areas, including La Granja, Cercedilla, Valsaín, Rascafría and Torrecaballeros. Picadero Herranz also offers riding lessons, including opportunities for children to learn, as well as horse boarding, training and stallion services. The business provides horse care and has around 90 horses, approximately half of them boarded at the centre, with animal wellbeing stated as a priority. Other offerings include horse sales and camps and fairs featuring horses. Visitors can explore information about rides, lessons, training, stallions and other activities, and make reservations online. The centre combines practical equestrian services with opportunities to experience the surrounding natural landscape on horseback.
