PICAM

PICAM is an organization dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer through free services, practical resources and community activities. Its work combines patient support with information and initiatives that encourage wellbeing during and after treatment. Services include a wig bank and oncology-related beauty support, volunteer assistance, physical activity through the Camina program, and workshops, activities and outings for patients. PICAM also provides information on cancer prevention and publishes manuals and other resources.

The organization promotes connection and participation through Un Pas per la Vida and Oncomarxa, as well as dragon boat activities, training and competitions under the message “Row Against Cancer.” Its website shares health-focused content, including interviews with medical and allied-health professionals on topics such as lung cancer, skin care, nutrition, physiotherapy and emotional wellbeing. It also features healthy recipes and information intended to support informed conversations about health.
