About Piccolo's Gastronomia
Piccolo's Gastronomia is a brand rooted in the rich traditions of Italian cuisine. Founded by Franco Piccolo, who grew up in the small village of Somma Vesuviana, near Naples, he learned firsthand the importance of hard work and dedication to his craft. Piccolo's is known for its genuine and specialized cuisine, prepared with uncompromising quality and authenticity.
After emigrating to the United States in 1973, Franco established an Italian deli in northern New Jersey and quickly gained a reputation for his delicious fresh mozzarella. As his business grew, the idea of expanding beyond a traditional deli took shape. In 1993, Piccolo's Gastronomia officially opened its doors as a fully-stocked authentic Italian supermarket.
