PickMeUp is a modern, on-demand ride-sharing minibus service operated by Carousel Buses, aimed at providing convenient and affordable travel options around Buckinghamshire. With a fleet of 45 buses based in High Wycombe, PickMeUp serves various locations including Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Amersham, Chesham, Slough, Uxbridge, and Heathrow Airport. Responding to customer feedback for more direct transport options, PickMeUp allows users to book rides via a smartphone app, picking them up from either 'virtual bus stops' or physical stops within a short distance.
The intelligent software efficiently coordinates the best routes for multiple passengers while maintaining affordability. Users can register payment details, choose to pay through PayPal, or directly to the driver. This innovative service not only offers flexibility but also the ability to pre-book future journeys.
Supported by Buckinghamshire Council and the Government, PickMeUp combines the convenience of a personal ride with the cost-effectiveness of shared transportation, making travel easier and more efficient for the community
