About Pidä Saaristo Siistinä ry
Pidä Saaristo Siistinä ry is an environmental organization working to keep our beaches and waters clean. With 12,600 members and 200 Roope service points, we are dedicated to protecting our beautiful maritime areas, such as the Saaristomeri, Saimaa, Päijänne, Pohjanlahti, Pirkanmaa, Itäinen Suomenlahti, and Ahvenanmaa. Our Roope services, available for water enthusiasts, contribute to the cleanliness and preservation of our water environments, reducing eutrophication.
We also lead the Siisti Biitsi nationwide beach cleaning program, encouraging citizens to join forces in cleaning beaches and raising awareness about the issue of beach pollution. Additionally, our projects focus on developing and promoting sustainable practices for boating and water activities. Through our efforts on land and water, we strive to make a difference in preserving our precious waters.
