Piedmont Racing Expo

Piedmont Racing Expo is an annual short-track motorsports trade show and auction serving racers and automotive enthusiasts across the southeastern United States. Entering its 32nd year, the event is described as the longest-running annual trade show and auction of its kind in the Southeast. Held at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, it brings together competitors, vendors, collectors, and fans for a program that includes a trade show, auctions, and the Racers Reunion.

The Expo welcomes short-track stock car and dirt-track racers, vintage and longtime competitors, drag racers, muscle-car owners, and street-rod enthusiasts. Its vendor marketplace showcases racing parts, products, and services for the motorsports community, while the auction offers another opportunity for buyers and sellers to connect. The event is presented with assistance from Butlerbuilt Racing Seats, Carolina Collector Auto Fest, and Funwood Auctions. Promoters and auctioneers Kenneth Smithey and Phillip Walker bring experience as racers, parts sellers, and auction operators. Piedmont Racing Expo provides a focused gathering place for the regional racing community and businesses seeking to reach it.
