Pieksämäen Invalidit

Pieksämäen Invalidit ry is a local association promoting musculoskeletal health, participation and social connection in Pieksämäki. It welcomes members to accessible, low-threshold activities designed to support physical wellbeing and offer opportunities to spend time together. Its guided exercise programme runs weekly during the spring and autumn and includes water aerobics at the local swimming hall, a gym group at Power4You and floor curling at the swimming hall. Participants may be able to join during a season, subject to availability, and modest participant fees apply.

The association also hosts a women’s group at Järjestötalo’s Toimintakeskus Neuvokas, meeting on the first Monday of each month. Members can take part in events, exercise groups, social activities and peer support, as well as access benefits offered through Invalidiliitto ry. These include information and advice, organisational training, insurance, sports opportunities, discounts and information about supported holidays. The association accepts ordinary, supporting and corporate supporting members, with different annual membership fees. Its website shares activity details, contact information, upcoming events and a gallery of past occasions.
