PIENRYHMKOTI OTSO

Pienryhmäkoti Otso Oy is a child welfare residential care provider in Hovinsaari, a quiet neighbourhood around two kilometres from central Kotka, Finland. For 24 years, the organisation has offered children a safe, homelike setting in which to grow and manage everyday life. Its seven-place residential unit is designed to provide space for ordinary routines and individual attention, with familiar, present adults supporting children day to day.

Otso’s approach combines clear boundaries and predictable routines with respectful, individual encounters, aiming to strengthen children’s safety, growth and well-being. The organisation works closely with each child’s family and wider support network throughout the placement. Its work also supports children in maintaining important relationships and preparing either to return home or to move toward the next stage of life.

The website provides information about the unit’s activities, staff, self-monitoring plan and facilities, as well as contact details for placement enquiries, educational matters and billing.
