About Piezo Pickups
Piezo Pickups | Ljubljana is a brand that specializes in innovative and high-quality piezo contact microphones. Our story begins with Tomaž Zupančič, an engineer and musician who was dissatisfied with the sound quality of lower-priced acoustic guitars when amplified. Not wanting to invest in expensive built-in sound systems for all his instruments, Tomaž discovered the wonders of piezo contact microphones at a concert.
Intrigued, he ordered a few and shared them with his friend Simon Rezelj, a fellow musician. Together, they started experimenting and improving the sonic range of the device, ultimately leading to their ultimate idea: their own microphone – the VIBE 1. Piezo Pickups | Ljubljana focuses on creating fresh, better, and easy-to-use microphones that can enhance the sound of various instruments.
