About PIFA San Diego
The Pacific Islander Festival Association (PIFA) is a non-profit corporation that aims to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. Composed of members from diverse backgrounds, PIFA actively participates in charitable, cultural, and educational endeavors for everyone. Their mission includes creating a financial resource program that provides scholarships and enhances the knowledge and understanding of Pacific Islanders' traditions and values.
Additionally, PIFA organizes an annual event that brings together various communities, both Pacific islanders and others, making it the longest running event with the largest NHPI audience in the US. This event offers unparalleled opportunities for community and service-based organizations to engage with attendees. Participants, including dignitaries, entertainers, vendors, and visitors from across the country, converge in San Diego to participate in this remarkable festival.
PIFA's impact extends beyond the event itself, as it is immortalized in the hundreds of thousands of pictures and videos shared worldwide on social media. By becoming a PIFA member, individuals can contribute to the preservation and perpetuation of the Pacific Islander community. Join PIFA today to make a difference in our community!
