About Prime Initiative for Green Development
Prime Initiative for Green Development (PIGD) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2014 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria. PIGD is committed to combating environmental hazards and promoting social justice. They raise awareness about climate change and advocate for gender equality, focusing on the rights of women, youths, and Persons Living with Disabilities (PLDs).
PIGD actively encourages youth engagement in policy review and negotiations through campaigns and sustainable projects. They hold observer status with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP).
