Pigmy Pouter Club

The American Pigmy Pouter Club is an organization dedicated to the breeding and appreciation of Pigmy Pouter pigeons. Its stated objectives focus on encouraging and advancing the breed, establishing expectations for its ideal qualities, and creating opportunities for people interested in Pigmy Pouters to meet through exhibition. The club formulates and revises a standard of perfection when necessary.

Known as “The Standard of the Pigmy Pouter,” this guide describes the ideal qualities of the breed and serves as a reference for judges when evaluating and placing birds in the show room. The club also promotes good fellowship and friendly competition by holding an annual show, bringing participants together around the presentation and assessment of Pigmy Pouters. Through its emphasis on breeding, a shared breed standard, judging guidance, and an annual competitive event, the American Pigmy Pouter Club supports continued interest in this pigeon variety.

Its published objectives provide a focused framework for the club’s activities and for participation in the breed’s exhibition community
