Pil-Sung Martial Arts

Pil-Sung Martial Arts is a martial arts school located at 1095C Central Avenue in Albany, New York. Its guiding message is, “We don’t teach martial arts, we create martial artists,” reflecting a focus on developing students through its programs. The school offers three disciplines: Tae Kwon Do, Kumdo, and Extreme Martial Arts.

Tae Kwon Do is described as a Korean martial art combining combat and self-defense techniques with sport and exercise; the program dates to May 2005. Kumdo includes meditation, basic movements, sword patterns, cutting, and sparring techniques, and was introduced in September 2012. Extreme Martial Arts blends traditional martial arts styles with gymnastics and acrobatics, along with action-movie performance elements; it began in January 2007.
