Gratz Pilates is the original manufacturer of Pilates apparatus, offering authentic equipment for the Pilates community. With a legacy dating back to 1928, our company was founded by Frank Gratz in New York City as a custom fabrication shop, producing industrial design prototypes, furniture, and sculpture for renowned designers. This tradition continued with Frank's son Donald Gratz, who collaborated closely with Romana Kryzanowska in the late 1960s.
Through this partnership, Gratz maintained fidelity to Joseph Pilates' original vision, preserving the dimensions and proportions critical to the correct function of the Pilates apparatus. Our commitment to Pilates guides our actions, as we have provided top-notch equipment for two generations of teachers and studio owners worldwide. Gratz Pilates apparatus is known for its unerring craftsmanship and exacting specifications, making it an indispensable part of practitioners' practice.
With our move to Philadelphia in 2014, we continue to support the Pilates community through collaborations, conferences, and workshops. Contact us for personalized assistance and experience the Gratz difference in maintaining the integrity of your Pilates work
