Pilzverein Bremgarten

The Verein für Pilzkunde Bremgarten und Umgebung is a mushroom and nature club serving Bremgarten and its surrounding area. Founded in 1916, it was established to improve knowledge of local edible, inedible and poisonous mushrooms and to encourage their safe collection, preservation and preparation. Today, the club brings together people interested in fungi, nature and learning in a friendly community.

Its activities include regular mushroom identification evenings at Schulhaus Isenlauf and collection days at Reussbrückesaal. The club also offers a mushroom course, with classroom sessions and guided excursions, helping participants build their knowledge through instruction and practical experience. Members take part in local nature excursions, an annual club trip and social gatherings, alongside meetings and other club activities. The association also shares information about mushroom preparation and recipes, and holds a mushroom meal featuring its mushroom ragout.

New members are welcome, and prospective members can visit informally to get to know the group. The club’s website provides details about events, contacts, mushroom knowledge and membership.
