The Long Island Pine Barrens Society (LIPBS) is a brand committed to preserving and raising awareness about the Long Island Central Pine Barrens and the challenges surrounding Long Island's water quality. With a history spanning over forty years, we have been at the forefront of efforts to protect this unique ecosystem. Our organization is best known for our successful political campaign that resulted in the region being designated as a nature preserve in the 1990s.

At the Long Island Pine Barrens Society, we offer a range of products and services to fulfill our mission. We provide educational resources, including newsletters, guides, and a television program, to inform and engage our community. In addition, we organize events, such as the Robin Amper Memorial Scholarship and the Annual Awards Gala, to recognize and support individuals and initiatives that contribute to the preservation of the pine barrens.
