About PineCone
PineCone is a non-profit membership organization that is passionate about preserving, promoting, and presenting traditional forms of music, dance, and other folk performing arts. Since its establishment in 1984, PineCone has been dedicated to bringing the rich heritage of traditional music to Raleigh and beyond. Today, PineCone operates as a resident company at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts and continues to celebrate music with deep roots through concerts, jams, workshops, and their renowned festival, IBMA Bluegrass Live! powered by PNC.
The organization also offers opportunities for music enthusiasts of all ages through their Play & Learn programs, including jams, sessions, workshops, and instructional materials. With a focus on NC Piedmont Music, including Bluegrass, Old Time, Piedmont Blues, and Gospel, PineCone invites you to become a member, donate, volunteer, or join their mailing list to stay updated on upcoming events and support a vibrant and treasured musical legacy
