Pingit, the popular mobile payment app, has unfortunately closed its doors as of June 30, 2021. This means that the app, along with its features and services, is no longer available. However, if you're still looking for a convenient way to send money using just a phone number, Barclays has you covered with their PayM feature in the Barclays app.

To use PayM, you'll need a Barclays or Barclaycard account, a mobile number, and be at least 16 years old. Terms and conditions apply. If you had money in your Pingit account or jar when Pingit closed, don't worry.

The funds have been returned to the account that you linked to when you registered for Pingit. If you haven't received the money yet, simply contact us for assistance. In case you're unsure which account your Pingit funds were transferred to, reach out to our customer support team and they'll be happy to help.

If you no longer have access to the account you linked to Pingit, please contact your provider directly. If you had money in your Pingit account or jar and want to confirm it, you can check your statement or use the Barclays app if you have it. Should your Pingit funds not have been transferred to your linked account, it may be because the account was closed or the payment couldn't be made.
