Pinke Zitronen

Pinke Zitronen e.V. is a self-help association supporting young breast cancer patients in Hannover and the surrounding region. Its aim is to bring more colour to members’ everyday lives and create moments of happiness through shared activities, peer support and opportunities to connect. The association offers sports programmes, talks with experts, workshops and other events, with activities available both in person and online via Zoom.

Members can take part in a regular monthly breakfast gathering, “Gespritzte Zitronen,” held at Mezzo in Hannover, as well as join the Pink Runners walking and running group. Yoga Lemons provides yoga sessions in person and online, while the Pink Dragonistas is the association’s dragon boat team. These activities combine movement, community and mutual encouragement for young women navigating breast cancer.

Pinke Zitronen e.V. also organises a range of additional actions and workshops and welcomes people interested in joining or supporting its work. The association received first place in the social category of the Leinestern award in 2021.
