Phutung Research Institute was incorporated in November 2016, as a non-profit, charitable and tax-exempt research institute pursuant to section 5(1) of the Company Act of Nepal 2006. The main objective of the institute is to promote excellence in scientific and technological research in Nepal and beyond. The institute concentrates on : Bold Explorations, Cost-effective innovations, Impactful ventures, Deep Engagement, and Extensive collaborations, to address problems in the developing societies and create a vibrant R&D ecosystem in Nepal and other developing countries.
