Pipo’s Surfbude

Pipo’s SurfBude Baltrum is a family-run beach bar and watersports center on Baltrum’s North Beach in Germany. Founded by Philipp and Pia, it combines a relaxed seaside setting with food, drinks, activities, and a welcoming terrace beside the dunes and surf. Guests can enjoy freshly baked pizza, sweet and savory snacks, smoothies, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and espresso-based coffee. Families are welcome, with a sandy play area and beach toys for children, while seasonal events include children’s parties, small festivals, and themed gatherings.

Watersports are central to the brand. Its VDWS-licensed kite school offers beginner, progression, and refresher courses, with instruction adapted to participants’ experience and local wind and tide conditions. Equipment rental includes complete kitesurfing sets, while additional options include SUP and kayak hire, guided SUP tours, and VDWS level-card examinations. The school also sells course vouchers. Located at beach section A, the terrace connects directly to the beach access paths. The business is generally open daily from May through September, weather permitting.
