The Pirate’s Sea Charters is a locally owned and operated sea charter business based in Victor Harbor, South Australia. Run by Rod Ness, a commercial fisherman with more than 35 years of experience fishing and navigating local and state waters, the business offers personalised fishing charters and sightseeing tours. Trips explore the waters around Victor Harbor and the coastal areas of the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Coorong, with opportunities to fish or look for dolphins and seals.
Charters are available as half-day or full-day outings and depart from the Bluff boat ramp at Encounter Bay. The 8.5-metre Alufarm boat accommodates groups of six to nine people, and guests can book the whole boat. Fishing gear, bait, ice, sunscreen and water are included; guests bring any food they wish to eat. The crew will also fillet customers’ catches. With an experienced skipper and local knowledge, The Pirate’s Sea Charters provides visitors and groups with a tailored way to enjoy the region’s waters.
