Pirkanmaan festivaalit

Pirkanmaan festivaalit, also known as Pirfest, is a regional network of cultural festivals in Finland’s Tampere region. Founded in 2009, the association brings together 36 events across 11 municipalities. Its mission is to strengthen collaboration among festivals, develop professional expertise and responsible practices, and raise the profile of the region’s cultural events. Together, its members offer more than 30 festivals each year, creating opportunities for people, art forms, and cultures to meet.

Pirfest supports its member organizations through a shared professional network and practical services for event work and development. These include training, development projects, audience research, marketing support, and media monitoring. The association also shares festival news, research, and information about upcoming events, helping audiences discover the region’s cultural program. Featured events span a wide range of interests, including children’s literature and word art, comics, film, folk dance, jazz, visual arts, and tango, guitar, and flamenco. Pirkanmaan festivaalit connects festival organizers and helps sustain a diverse, visible, and collaborative cultural scene throughout the Tampere region.
