Piscine école

Comme un poisson dans l’eau is a swimming school based on the seafront at Grande Plage in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Vendée. It offers seasonal lessons in a heated, covered pool, welcoming children and adults during summer. The school’s approach centres on enjoyment, motivation and progress, with instruction adapted to each swimmer’s level and needs.

Programs include a playful water familiarisation club for young children, beginner and advanced lessons in breaststroke, and instruction in front crawl, backstroke and butterfly. Adults can take swimming lessons focused on overcoming water anxiety or improving crawl technique, breathing and confidence. Aquagym sessions are also available, combining movement, wellbeing and varying levels of intensity. Learning is organised in stages, from discovering the water through play to learning to swim and refining technique.

Lessons are led by swimming instructors, with a focus on patient, supportive teaching and building confidence. Families and adult swimmers can submit an enrolment request, while final time slots are arranged in person at the pool.
