About Piter-IX
Piter-IX is a network consisting of geographically dispersed traffic exchange points connected by Nx10G or 40G data transmission channels. These points of presence are located in areas where operators and content are concentrated. Within each location, the sites are connected by a high-speed network, and between locations in different regions, the connection is implemented through Nx10G or 40G channels.
Piter-IX network utilizes equipment from Cisco. Over 21 entry points are included in the unified traffic exchange network, spread across 5 cities: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Tallinn, Riga, and Kiev.
In Moscow, the project is present in M9 and Ixcellerate data centers, while in St. Petersburg, it is present in 7 data centers: BM18, Miran, K12/Raduga-2, Selectel, Imaqliq, Bonch-IT, and Borovaya d. 57, with ports of 1G/10G/40G.
In St. Petersburg, the Piter-IX network has a 40-channel DWDM system by ADVA installed
