Piton Partnership is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting underserved communities in and around Piton, Haiti. Its mission is to help residents improve their quality of life in ways suited to their environment while sharing the transformative love of Christ. The organization works alongside the community through programs focused on medical care and hygiene, education, clean water and solar power, agriculture and animal husbandry, and construction.
Its Community School serves children in Piton and nearby Piton West; the school has expanded to include a seventh-grade class, supported by classroom construction. Piton Partnership also operates a lunch program, which has served more than 214,000 meals since 2015, and supports a local clinic and school that employ teachers, administrators, security staff, and nurses. The organization highlights the need for clean water and the growing pressures on local families, including rising medical and school-supply costs and population growth linked to people fleeing violence.
