About Pittock Mansion
Pittock Mansion in Portland, Oregon is not just a historic home, but a beloved institution deeply connected to its community. With over 40 years of volunteering at Pittock Mansion, Jeanne (pictured right) is its most experienced volunteer, bringing a wealth of knowledge about the mansion's history, family, and its impact on the local area. Recently, she and fellow volunteer, Guy (pictured left), came together to honor young women chosen for the Portland Rose Festival and Pendleton Round-Up Courts.
Each year, Jeanne meets with high-school students selected as Court members, offering them wisdom and guidance as they embark on their next chapter after graduating. She has watched many of these students blossom into outstanding citizens in Portland. Hearing the heartfelt stories of dedicated volunteers like Jeanne and Guy reminds us why Pittock Mansion is so special.
