Piws

Piws, founded in 2018 on the Isle of Anglesey, is a parent-led Community Interest Company dedicated to enhancing accessibility and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. Specializing in creating inclusive environments, Piws addresses the needs of people with autism, learning difficulties, sensory impairments, and mobility challenges. The organization focuses on improving accessibility in local and tourism settings by collaborating with families, businesses, and community groups.

Initially, Piws organized safe space events for families with children with autism, gathering insights to develop practical solutions. Today, their mission has expanded to support families with disabled children and young adults up to 24 years old. They provide valuable resources such as accessibility training, awareness-raising workshops, and inclusive event listings across Wales. By actively listening to the experiences of parents and caregivers, Piws aims to empower individuals with disabilities to engage confidently with their communities. Through their commitment to accessibility, Piws is making a significant impact in promoting inclusion and enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.
