PIXI is an onchain canvas studio for creating and preserving pixel artwork on Ethereum. Its central idea is that each canvas is a permanent painting: pixels, placement and revisions are recorded through the verified PIXI contract, and the studio can read them back from the blockchain. Holders of complete, liquid PIXI receive blank canvas slots, which they can use to create 8×8 canvases, paint with a palette, and arrange individual pieces into murals. Drafts can be activated, painted and placed together in a single transaction, with changes made locally at no cost until the user confirms a transaction; saving or activating requires Ethereum gas.

The studio also offers PIXI Artwork, an ERC-721 NFT that can preserve a wallet’s complete mural as one onchain collectible. Minting stores the layout and pixels in Ethereum-rendered SVG metadata and permanently locks the source canvases and matching PIXI in a vault. The NFT may be transferred, but the frozen mural cannot be edited or unpacked.
