About Bianco Restaurants
Bianco is a renowned brand that has become a driving force in the artisanal pizza movement. It all began in 1988 when Chris Bianco started Pizzeria Bianco in a small corner of a Phoenix grocery store. Little did he know that his passion for creating delicious food and his sincere approach to recipes would make him a leader in the industry.
Today, Chris Bianco is the chef-owner of Pizzeria Bianco, with two locations in Phoenix and two Pane Bianco restaurants. Tratto, his white-tablecloth restaurant, showcases handmade pastas and seasonal favorites using locally sourced ingredients from artisans and farmers. Chris's dedication to his craft earned him the prestigious James Beard Award for Best Chef Southwest in 2003, making him the first pizzaiolo (pizza chef) to receive this honor.
Additionally, Chris has influenced and inspired a new generation of independent and artisanal pizzerias through his advice, wisdom, and food philosophies. To complement his culinary creations, Chris also developed Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes, an organic lineup of tomato products.
