P2R Training and Resource Center, Inc., also known as Place to Recover, is a peer-run nonprofit serving individuals and families in Lorain County, Ohio. Its mission is to provide practical resources that help underserved and marginalized people improve their socioeconomic circumstances, build independence, and enhance their quality of life. The organization is especially focused on supporting people affected by substance use, mental health challenges, and incarceration, including those returning to their communities after prison.

P2R’s certified Peer Recovery Specialists draw on professional training and lived experience to offer compassionate guidance. Peer recovery support includes helping people connect with treatment and other resources, address challenges, and strengthen the foundations for lasting recovery. The center also provides housing assistance to help individuals and families find safe, affordable homes, along with job training and employment support to encourage self-sufficiency. Through strength-based case management, evidence-based programming, mentorship, and coordinated services, P2R aims to help clients navigate reentry and other life circumstances.
