Plains Precision Firearms LLC

Plains Precision Firearms is a custom rifle-building business founded in 2017 by Van Franke, who brings about 20 years of experience in precision hunting and shooting. Based on a one-person workshop model, the company works directly with customers to design rifles and shooting systems suited to individual needs and expectations. Rather than producing at high volume, Van builds one rifle at a time and remains responsible for each stage of the process.

The shop inspects every component against its standards, replacing parts that do not meet its requirements. Barrels are broken in and rifles are tested for accuracy to support consistency and reliability. Plains Precision Firearms states that its rifle performance is guaranteed without conditions, with the goal of delivering a dependable, headache-free setup for hunting and precision shooting. Its work includes custom hunting rifles and rifle builds based on platforms such as the Remington 700. The business emphasizes lightweight, accurate hunting rifles and says much of its business comes from repeat customers and word of mouth.
