Plains Rural is an Australian-owned and operated brand based in Deniliquin, New South Wales, developing practical products for rural farms and working dogs. Its first product, The Woolpack, is a tough, washable, fill-your-own dog bed designed for life in the country. Owners can fill it with materials they already have, including wool, straw, two pillows, old blankets or clothing, making it a practical option for a dog pen while remaining suitable for the home. The bed is offered for $75, with free shipping available on orders of three or more.

Plains Rural was created to address a shortage of durable, genuinely practical gear for working dogs. The company is in its early stages and aims to build solutions that support both rural dog owners and the animals they rely on. It welcomes customer feedback to guide product improvements and future offerings. A redesigned Woolpack is planned, featuring a concealed zipper intended to reduce dogs’ temptation to chew it.
