Planeta lidí is a cultural and educational project founded by David Švejnoha and Radka Švejnohová, dedicated to documenting the lives and traditions of Indigenous peoples and traditional communities around the world. Drawing on more than two decades of travel and research, its team of travelers, filmmakers, photographers, and researchers seeks to record cultures and languages affected by globalization and preserve knowledge for future generations.
The project offers an online encyclopedia and database of peoples, alongside articles, photographs, videos, and resources on languages, literature, traditions, and festivals. Its virtual gallery presents tribal art and authentic artefacts, including objects associated with everyday life and ritual; selected pieces are available for sale. Planeta lidí also organizes exhibitions and public events, and provides illustrated travel lectures across the Czech Republic, with online presentations and themed programs for schools also available. Its lectures can be hosted by cultural centers, libraries, restaurants, and festivals, and are offered free to senior homes.
