Planet Moja offers a simple carbon footprint calculator that uses monthly income as the main indicator of emissions and incorporates lifestyle choices related to travel and diet. The calculator is designed to be transparent, with a summary of the data and methodology used to explain the choices made. Planet Moja acknowledges that the accuracy of any carbon footprint calculator is not guaranteed and should be considered a ballpark estimate and only used as a guide.
The calculator takes into account various factors, such as income, flights (using data from Atmosfair.de), transportation, and diet (using the coolclimate.org calculator). Additionally, Planet Moja has incorporated a "Meaningful Price of Carbon" to reflect the real incentive for businesses and individuals to reduce carbon intensity. The brand advocates for a fee of $99 per tonne of CO₂ equivalent, in line with Switzerland's established carbon tax.
In addition to the calculator, Planet Moja provides information on individual projects and initiatives to promote transparency in carbon emissions.
